A private Slack channel is a great place to dump thoughts. The hard part is processing it later, so captures pile up and good ideas get buried.
This skill does the processing.
What it does
It reads new messages from the channels you choose (a brain dump, ideas, read-later, reminders) and files them into one running inbox.md, grouped under headings:
- Tasks as checkboxes
- Read / look up for links and names
- Ideas, Learn, Plans
- Lists for running one-liners like podcasts or books
- Unclear, with a short question when it can't tell what you meant
It cleans lightly: it fixes typos and turns rambles into a clear line, but keeps your shorthand and never adds opinions. When you tick a task, the next run moves it to a dated Done section.
Each filed message gets a 📥 reaction in Slack, so you can see what's been handled. It never posts, edits or deletes anything.
Setup
On the first run it asks which channels to read and where the inbox should live, then saves that in a small config file you can edit any time. Headings are yours to rename.
Try it
- "Process my Slack"
- "Clear my brain dump"
You'll need a Slack connector with permission to read channels and add reactions.
